Beautiful winegrowing of 50 ha vines, broods on the slopes of Mezzavia, floret of the insular vine growing. This old winegrowing (the first vines were planted there in XVIème century) was completely restructured in 1965 by Comte de Poix-Peraldi, father of the current owner. It is currently the most important vineyard of the controlled appellation “Ajaccio”.
The winegrowing proposes to you this remarkable Ajaccio Comte Peraldi red 2005, of robe crimson, supple and robust at the same time, with the complex nose (ripe blackcurrant, scrub, pepper), slightly spiced in mouth as it should be, of very good evolution. Beautiful vintage Clos du Cardinal red 2003, resulting from Sciacarello, matured out of barrels, with the nose of humus and spices, associating wealth and smoothness of mouth, fleshy and very full, of very good evolution, to taste on a stew. Excellent Comte Peraldi rosy 2006, with notes of rose and blackberry, delicious and slightly spiced wine, of persistent mouth, ideal on spiced food, of complex mouth like this white 2005, with the mineral nose where the citrus fruits and the dry small fruits, full and having a nice bouquet prevail, of spiced and dense mouth. The white 2007, finely having a nice bouquet, are of mouth fresh and tender, with the subtle nose (white flowers, almond, apple), all in roundness and persistence, with a very pleasant note of freshness to the palate, is combined perfectly with a bar with fennel.
